A daily update is a notification about the status of a project. In the project management world, a daily update is typically provided during a morning meeting.
When you configure your Action to support daily updates, users receive a push notification they can tap to invoke one of your Action’s intents that you configured as a daily update. They can also follow a prompt to subscribe to your daily updates, which you might include mid-conversation or as a suggestion chip when the user exits your Action successfully. If you choose to use a mid-conversation registration prompt, you can personalize the information the user gets when they receive their daily update.
If you use a suggestion chip, be sure to give the user plenty of context about your daily updates before asking them to register for them. Otherwise, your prompt may feel intrusive or unwanted. And don’t ask your users to register for your daily updates more than once in a conversation. After they register, make sure your daily updates provide them with different, useful content that they’d want to see every day. If your daily updates aren’t interesting or useful, the user might unsubscribe after a few days.
