At a scheduled time each day, users will receive a daily update notification from your Action on their Assistant device. To enable this feature, you must first create an intent that is configured as a daily update and add it to a system scene in the Actions console.
To register your daily updates with Google Assistant, users can invoke your intent and tap the notification to subscribe. The subscription prompt can be given mid-conversation, or it can appear as a suggestion chip when the user exits your Action successfully. Adding a daily updates subscription flow to your Action provides value to users and encourages them to return. To maximize the impact of your daily updates, make sure that the content is different and useful every day. For example, provide relevant weather information or send daily horoscopes.
To test your daily updates, invoke the intent and check the notifications on the device at a scheduled time. Be sure to follow best practices for designing useful notifications on the Google Assistant app and voice-activated speakers and smart displays.
