The study of global affairs focuses on the complex interconnections between world governments, economies, societies and cultures. Global affairs practitioners and scholars examine issues ranging from the impacts of globalization to the international politics of terrorism, pandemics, drug trafficking, global development, human rights, peacebuilding and foreign policy.
A growing range of issues confronts our world, which has been shaped by the rise of new nations, conflict and cooperation among countries, and the influence of global corporations. These complex challenges require multidisciplinary training and the ability to bridge scholarship and practice. Our experts tackle these topics through research, op-eds, podcasts and videos.
