A daily update is a short message shared with employees to keep them informed about organisational activities, announcements, or progress. They are timely and concise, fostering transparency, trust, and collaboration. They are delivered at a consistent time each day to establish routine. They focus on the most critical priorities to ensure real-time alignment. They can be communicated through a variety of channels, including email, team chats, or intranet portals. They can be delivered in a structured way to foster engagement, or can be more informal to encourage participation.
Using the Geekbot platform, it is possible to centralise daily updates and automatically broadcast them to teammates. Teams can also choose to send out reminder notifications if they forget to complete their daily updates within a specified timeframe. Additionally, the Geekbot platform supports different broadcast times for different teammates based on their local timezone. This is a great feature for remote teams to reduce the impact of missed daily updates on productivity.
To configure daily updates for your Action, open the Actions console and click Develop in the top menu. Under Scenes in the left panel, select the system scene you want to edit and click + to add a new intent handler for daily updates. In the dialog flow, create a new intent called Daily updates subscription and configure it to launch when users invoke your action. You can also add a prompt to register for daily updates mid-conversation, or as a suggestion chip when the user exits your Action successfully.
